10th Anniversary Gala Host - Tony Aiello, Reporter WCBS-TV

Tony Aiello is CBS 2's Westchester Bureau reporter. From the CBS 2 bureau at the Journal News in White Plains, Aiello covers news across Westchester County, southwest Connecticut, and the lower Hudson Valley.

Aiello joined CBS 2 in October 2002, after nearly five years at WNBC-TV. Prior to that, he served as a national correspondent for Dow Jones Television and the top syndicated business show, "The Wall Street Journal Report." He also has worked as an anchor and reporter at stations in Milwaukee, WI., Nashville, TN., and Greenville, SC.

Aiello was part of the CBS 2 team nominated for an Emmy for coverage of the threatened transit strike in 2002. It was his third Emmy nomination. He has also received many professional awards and honors from groups including the Associated Press Broadcasters and the Milwaukee Press Club.

Aiello is active with community groups and Italian-American charities. He is a trustee of the Westchester Arts Council and chairs its annual Arts Awards luncheon. Aiello has served as emcee of the White Plains Columbus Day parade twice. In 2002, he was asked to lead Westchester County's official ceremony marking the first anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. He also gave the keynote address at the 2003 July Fourth celebration at historic St. Pauls Church in Mount Vernon, N.Y., and was the featured speaker at the 2004 Enrico Fermi Scholarship Foundation Awards in Yonkers, N.Y.

Aiello graduated from Indiana University in 1985. He lives in New Rochelle, N.Y. with his wife Elizabeth and their twin sons.
