is the A.A.C.C.W.R., INC.?
The
African American Chamber of Commerce is designed to meet community
needs. It is a voluntary organization of individuals and businesses
who ban together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial
and civic interest of the community. It is a civic clearinghouse,
a public relation counselor, a legislative representative
at the local, state and national levels of government. The
African American Chamber is an information bureau and a research/promotional
medium.
The
Objectives of the Chamber are:
- To
promote a better understanding of our private enterprise
system.
- To
coordinate the effort of commerce, industry and the professions
in maintaining and strengthening a sound healthy climate
in Westchester and Rockland Counties.
Our
Mission:
As
the voice of business, to promote the economic and community
well-being of the African American Business Community in Westchester
and Rockland Counties.
Why
should you join the Chamber?
The
African American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) was created as
an advocate for local African American - owned businesses.
The AACC promotes economic development and business opportunity
for its members. Your investment in AACC is important to the
economic development of this entire state. Membership in the
Chamber provides benefits designed to meet business needs.
Involvement
As
a Chamber member, you are part of an active problem solving
organization. The Chamber serves as a catalyst to solve key
local concerns from law and order to planning and zoning.
Members are encouraged to participate in committee work.
Business
Representation in Government
Local,
state and national legislation is monitored by the Chamber's
Governmental Affairs Division. Through analysis of the potential
impact of government action, the Chamber is able to provide
a business perspective in the legislative decision-making
process.

Chamber's newsletter is the single most important vehicle
for communicating with our members and the larger business
community.
Small
Business Seminars
The
Chamber conducts regular educational seminars and workshops
for members. Topics range from financial planning, marketing
and business management.
Networking
and Special Events
Members
have the opportunity to do their most effective network marketing
in a professional atmosphere that promotes valuable business
contacts. As well as an opportunity to network, the general
membership meeting gives members an opportunity to hear guest
speakers on a variety of timely subjects. As your Chamber
of contacts, we provide you with the opportunities to meet
